Dymonz Stampers -- A Stamp Club

Over at the Village -- the social network that is linked to this blog, which can be found here -- we have started up the Dymonz Stampers Group. This is a monthly stamp club where you will receive a stamp set, a 4-hour workshop, and a project kit with at least 4 projects that can be made using your new stamp set. You opt in every month -- so there's no monthly commitment. Just sign up for the months you are available to join in!

Our kick off is August 1, 2011. The first stamp set selected is Stampin' Up!'s Butterfly Prints:

And the 4 projects that we will be making are a Card, a Forget-Me-Not Card Keeper, a Scrapbook Page, and a Treat Box. Here are pictures of some of the projects:

The 4-hour workshop is both physical and virtual. There are folks who do not live in the Scrap Shack's area that will be attending via the Internet and the magic of webcams. Even if you're not a Marylander, you are still able to attend the workshop in real-time!!!

Most all materials are provided for you in your kit. The main exceptions are scissors and adhesives -- we all have those already. The kickoff month we will be using gesso and acrylic paints and even these items will be provided to those who sign up! Your stamp club kit contains everything you need to complete the 4 projects.

Lastly, we know circumstances sometimes prevent people from signing up for that month's kit because they will be unable to attend the workshop due to personal commitments. There are no worries with this either! Each kit has step-by-step instructions with pictures on how to create the projects. However, as a bonus to those who sign up, there will be private tutorial videos which will help guide you through completing the projects. These videos will only be available to those that sign up for that month's kit and workshop. This is an added value to your club membership! Even if you attend the workshop, you will still have access to these videos for later use as a refresher or to help you complete the unfinished projects in your kit! How sweet is that?!

Hop on over to the Village and see what the Dymonz Stampers are all about. Don't forget to sign up for the August camp -- you only have until the 10th day of each month to sign up and pay for your kit. This ensures that I can order the stamp sets and supplies and have them in time for the workshop, which is the last Saturday of every month from 10a - 2p Eastern. Hope to see you there!

Much Love,
Dymonz...

WooooHooooo!!! I only missed 2 people....

I am soooooooooo glad that more folks didn't get missed for their blog candy. I want to extend a personal THANK YOU to both Sher and Lori for their great patience and understanding! Challenges Starting Back Up Soon!

Hey divas! I haven't forgotten about the challenges. I put the brakes on because my notes indicated that I had caught up on getting all my goodies out, only to find out that one person hadn't received their goodies.

Soooooooooooooooooooo, there won't be any further challenges until I am absolutely sure that all past winners have received their goodies. If you have not received your goodies, please E-MAIL me with which challenge or event you were the winner for. Several folks have goodies on the way -- SU! orders were placed weeks ago so you should have received or be receiving your goodies if you haven't already. I have Shers list. Anyone else I'm missing? Donna's is packaged -- I was waiting for the Canadian mail strike to be over to ensure she got her package so that'll be going out this week. Please make sure you alert me if you haven't received your prizes.

Lastly, going forward the blog candy prizes will be $25 worth of Stampin' Up! supplies of your choice. That will make it seamless for me to get your goodies out because you'll send me a list and I'll go and order it and have it shipped directly to you. That takes a lot of work off my plate of packaging and mailing out items weekly. It was getting to be too much work for me! Sometimes it will be $25 of Ranger or Prima or BasicGrey or Copic -- that's dependent on the nature of the challenge. Just keep in mind you'll get a $25 shopping spree to one of those companies if you win. Once I add more lines to my store, then they'll be available for prize winnings as well.

Thank you ladies for continuing to craft with me and participate in the challenges! Thank you most of all for understanding this is a one-woman show and as such things sometimes get delayed. I am working to ensure that there are no future delays by having the company ship straight to you. Looking forward to starting the challenges back up soon!

Much Love,
Dymonz...

Village Scraps Magazine -- Going Monthly!

We have gotten such an overwhelming response to our first digital print edition! Thank you all so much for your patronage to our magazine!! If you missed the publication, you can check it out on the Village Scraps here.

Since the response was so great -- 600 unique viewers to the magazine in the 8 days since it's been published -- we are committing to that format going forward. With this change in format (from blog posts to a published magazine), we will also be changing posting from weekly to monthly. This will help to facilitate getting what would be blog posts into the format necessary to publish it as a page-turning magazine.

Our first of the monthly editions will be published on August 15, 2011. Each month thereafter, a new monthly publication will be posted with new and fresh inspiration for your creations. You are sure to be blessed with some magnificent projects from the team of great crafters that submit for this magazine!!!

But wait... We will still do two bi-annual publications (January and July) that will be chock full of never-before-seen projects that have not been published to the monthly editions. And there's a special Christmas Edition that will be published on November 15th full of cards and crafts for the Christmas Holidays.

We are sure that you all will continue to enjoy the Village Scraps magazine in its new format! Thank you for allowing us to inspire you!

Much Love,

Sista to Sista Scrapbooking Retreat - July 15 through 17, 2011

I have had the pleasure to spend this weekend with a group of beautiful women (and gent) that I met when I first got into this paper craftin' passion...

In October of 2009, I purchased my first Cricut Expression. Being in I.T. for over 20 years, I immediately went to the manufacturer's website to find the community blog and start learning about this machine I had just purchased. What I found on the Cricut Message Board was so much more -- the Sistas Scrap Too! group and a wealth of marvelous women who I can truly call "sister", as well as a great gentleman who I am honored to call "brother"...

I've spent all weekend with this fantastic bunch of ladies and one of the group's gent - Curt. Yes -- we love to have everyone who is in love of paper craftin' be you male or female... During the weekend, I was also able to complete the altered cigar box which I am working on for a swap at the Village.

During the weekend, we laughed and shopped -- hey, there's an Archiver's here and the closet one to the Baltimore area is in North Carolina. It was a blessing to be in GA where there was one locally! The Sistas didn't play when it was time for food -- they fed you WELL! The entire weekend was just one great scrap happy weekend full of sharing, craftin' and fun.

This is our first get together as the Sistas Scrap Too! group. Many of us have cropped together in the past, but not in this large scale fashion as a group. We rented a beautiful craft cottage in Jasper, GA where there was ample space for craftin':
This weekend was a wonderful experience. To be in a group of 12 or 13 and there's nothing but sharing and helping one another with projects, classes on the Yudu, using vinyl, and more could not have been a more rewarding and enriching experience. One that will be a treasured memory forever...
Here's looking forward to the second Sistas' Scrap Too! Scrapbooking Retreat, tentatively scheduled for July 2013 in Florida...

Scrap Dymonz Fourth of July Blog Hop! Day Three...

Back again for day three of the Scrap Dymonz 4-day Fourth of July Weekend Blog Hop! Today's hop starts at Lia's blog and ends at Terry's. Our fourth and final day of the hop is tomorrow and we have some very special things planned. Be sure to work your way from beginning to end for all days of the hop -- you will need information from each blog in order to have the chance to win the final day's blogcandy on Stampin' Dymonz's blog. Enjoy!

Today's Project: 4th of July Mini Album
The album is created to contain this year's cookout memories. It saves me some time after the festivities in preserving the memories because the album is already complete -- just add pictures and journaling! The cover has rub on lettering, dimensional butterflies from K&Company, ribbon, flowers, and pebbles in red, white, and blue.
These pages allow for plenty of journaling space as well as the "posed" picture that will be taken. All other shots of the day will be random and candid, and these pictures will fill out the final pages of the album.
This page was created to capture the kids artistic shenanigans by recording quotable quotes of the day. The tags were cut from scraps out of my stash and those and the pages have been inked with SU! Whisper White Craft Stampin' Pad in such a way to portray how a child would use the ink -- complete with splotches and smears. For me, this captures the kid side of creating... The final pages simple hold spots for 3x3 photos and space to write a caption. Those pages were designed more to house many pictorial memories.

Blog Candy!
Please leave a comment on this post and be a Follower of the Village Scraps and your name will be entered to win a $45 SU! Shopping Spree!! Good luck!!

Thank you for participating in Day 3 of the Scrap Dymonz's Fourth of JulyWeekend Blog Hop! We hope you enjoyed the projects and look forward to seeing you at the Village Scraps!

Scrap Dymonz Fourth of July Blog Hop! Day Two...

Welcome back to the second day of the Scrap Dymonz blog hop! Today's hop starts at Terry's blog and ends with Ms. Dee. Be sure to hop your way through all 4 blogs to be greatly inspired. The projects are causing fireworks all over blogland! And when you're done, hop on by the Village Scraps and be further inspired... You'll be glad you did!

I have taken this blog hop as an opportunity to get all of the crafts done for our 4th of July cookout. Yesterday I showcased a tag that will be used as place holders at the kids' table. Today, my project is the "grab bag" of treats that will be given to the kids as they leave our house to go home with mom and dad. Yep -- mom and dad get the sugar rush!

Supplies
Bazzill Textured Cardstock - Red
Stampin' Up! Whisper White Cardstock
Red and Blue Stickles
Cricut Expression
Gypsy
Tags, Bags, Boxes and More Cricut Cartridge
Stampin' Up! Brillant Blue Classic Stampin' Pad
Star Stamp from SU!
Floral Embellishments
Red Brad
MS Scoreboard
Adhesive
Glue Dots

I pulled out the Gypsy and Cricut for this creation! The selected image from the Cricut cartridge was sized to 11 inches wide. I used my MS Scoreboard to score and adhesive/glue dots to to secure the sides and bottom, creating the bag. I hope to inspire you to pull out your tools and start using them in your projects. Although this is pictured with floral embellishments, on Independence Day it will be chock full of candy and trinkets for the little ones. And speaking of sweet treats...

Blog Candy!
Today's blog candy give-a-way is sweetened just a tad from yesterday's. If you are a follower of the Village Scraps and you post a comment here on this blog post, you will be eligible to received a $35 Stampin' Up! Shopping Spree!! Such a simple way for a chance at such a great prize!

Thank you for participating in Day 2 of the Scrap Dymonz's Fourth of JulyWeekend Blog Hop! We hope you enjoyed the projects and look forward to seeing you at the Village Scraps!

Scrap Dymonz Fourth of July Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Scrap Dymonz Fourth of July Weekend Blog Hop! We will be holding our hop over the entire 4th of July weekend -- July 1st through 4th -- with new projects posted each day. Be sure to hop by every day to enjoy the beautiful creations. You never know...you may even find blog candy along the way!

The Scrap Dymonz are the design team for the Village Scraps, the creative inspiration magazine for the Stampin' Dymonz Scrap Shack. The magazine can be found online here, and it will be printed twice a year starting in January 2012. The print version contains many more projects to inspire you then what you will find in the online version. Be sure to become a Follower of the Village Scrapsblog so that you won't miss out on any of the postings or information on how to obtain the upcoming print version.

Ms. Dee, Terry, Lia, and Stampin' Dymonz have made some fantastic projects with the "Fourth of July" theme. It's not too late to whip up some of these projects for yourself in celebration of the holiday! The hop starts at Ms. Dee's blog and ends at Stampin' Dymonz's blog. There are only 4 stops along the way, but an amazing volume of creativity! Be sure that you start your hopping at the beginning and work your way straight through so that you will not miss out on any of the fun. We hope you enjoy our first blog hop as a design team! Please be certain to leave comments on the projects -- the Scrap Dymonz love to receive constructive feedback. Enjoy!

Today's projects are two -- a card and a tag:
Supplies
Decorative Papers
SU! Whisper White Craft Ink Pad
SU! Stars Stamp
Stampology Stamp Set
Blue/Red Cardstock
MS Scalloped Border Punch
The pocket on the card holds a tag. However, you can place a gift card in the pocket or other trinket that you would like to give.

Supplies
The Stencil Collection Non-Smear Pastels
The Stencil Collection Glam Glitter
Cuttlebug Embossing Plus Folder - Embossed Tags
White Cardstock from GASC
SU! Star Stamp
Memento Tuxedo Black Ink Pad
The Stencil Collection Glazed Dimensions - Blue
This cute little tag was fun and easy to make. Once cut using the Cuttlebug folder, I was able to leave the tag in the stencil and chalk it. I then stamped on the stars using the Tuxedo Black Ink, outlined it with the Blue Glazed Dimensions and sprinkled on blue Glam Glitter. What a festive tag! These will be used on the 4th of July for the kids table to indicate who sits where when it's time for crafts.

I hope you enjoyed today's projects. Look for more projects from me and the Scrap Dymonz team this entire 4-day weekend. We have lots in store for you!

Blog Candy!
It's easy to win blog candy:
