Over at the Village in the Off The Page Group, our quarterly swap is Altered Dominoes. Along with the item we're altering, we have to include 3 mediums. I have never altered a domino before, nor even seen any of the things that can be done with them until April Dawn chose this as our quarterly swap. You will be amazed at what you can do with a domino, as I soon found out.
I chose to make monogrammed keychains for each person:
My 3 mediums are ink, heat embossing, and metal. I used TH alcohol inks to create a "marbled" background. Then I sealed it with Inkssentials Glue n'Seal. Next, I used a VersaMark Watermark ink pad and stamped the flower, dusted it with Zing Embossing Powder, and heat embossed. Finally, I used my hot glue gun and adhered each person's first initial. They came out really nicely for a first attempt at altering dominoes!
If you haven't come by yet or if you haven't been by lately, don't hesitate to hop on over to the Village and get your creativity infused with a wealth of goings on. The DT keeps things interactive and fun over there and there are always fresh ideas and new things to get involved in. Starting in January, there is going to be a free year long art journaling workshop as well. If you're looking for some new things to get involved in, check out the Village...
Much Love,
Dymonz...
